Introduction In this assignment, we have to explain how Walmart has used RFID technology. When the public had little knowledge of the RFID technology (Card, n.d.). At that time Walmart has launched its RFID-based technology which they used as their tracking pilot who only had 7 stores in Texas and had 8 product suppliers. Walmart has gradually increased the number of the store involved, that have aimed to have RFID technology (Card, n.d.). The decision-maker at Walmart has believed that the company lacked in sales and customer satisfaction because of the inaccurate stock numbers. So they have used RFID in various ways (Card, n.d.). First was the RFID Tag Purchasing. Because the system was a new process for both the product suppliers and Walmart (Card, n.d.). So they tried to make the customers understand the ways to use it (Card, n.d.). Walmart has been centered to identify and the track its asset in a fast and effective manner. Walmart used the tags to transfer the information from the product to the scanner. The second is the Higher Inventory Visibility (Card, n.d.). Walmart can always make its inventory management clear and make the inventory visible.
